What do you like the most about your current role?
- Talking to prospective students from all around the world and sharing my incredible ANU journey as an alumnus.
- Organising events, familiarisation trips and webinars for students and education partners.
- Promoting ANU and Canberra globally and helping some of the best and brightest fulfil their Australian dream.
How can students take advantage of their international experience when submitting job applications in Australia?
Prior international experience has a competitive edge when applying for jobs in Australia as time spent overseas leads to life experience, which can set you apart from the rest of the applicants. Talk about your global network, workplace achievements, multilingual abilities and soft skills. Last but not least, be passionate about your work.
What advice do you offer to new students who have just commenced their studies at ANU, in terms of fully immersing themselves into campus life?
Be confident, ask questions and participate in volunteering activities, student clubs and societies. Connect, communicate and create a bond with people from different cultures. Most importantly, enjoy your ANU journey; after all, it's not just about studying the degree; it's about the experience which makes your ANU days memorable and special.
