The Master of Accounting is suitable for both students with limited or no prior accounting training as well as accounting professionals looking to upskill and expand their expertise.
Students undertaking the Master of Accounting degree will be able to choose a specialisation in Analytics for Accounting or Sustainability and Accounting.
This specialisation will allow students to:
- develop accounting and critical-thinking skills that are highly valued by employers
- understand contemporary challenges and techniques relevant to analytics in accounting
- analyse complex accounting data and issues
- evaluate and apply data analytics to accounting decision making.
This specialisation requires the completion of 24 units, which must include:

This specialisation will allow students to:
- demonstrate an understanding of current issues and developments in accounting, and reporting for sustainability and corporate governance
- critically analyse broader issues of corporate sustainability, governance and reporting
- apply relevant theoretical concepts in the context of corporate sustainability accounting and reporting
- formulate logical arguments to reach well-considered accounting conclusions.
