Why study Master of Business Information Systems at ANU

The Master of Business Information Systems program is designed for graduates either with or without a background in information systems. Students without an IS background are taken through foundational topics in their first year of study, leading them into the second year which deals with more advanced material. An extensive list of electives is provided to allow students to focus their study on those areas of particular interest or relevance to them.

The program is taught by research active academic staff. Students are exposed to professional and scholarly academic information systems research and coursework, enhancing their academic and professional competence.

Accreditations

The Master of Business Information Systems has Professional level recognition for the Accreditation Period 2019 - 2025. The Accreditation Period refers to the year of study commencement. A student who commenced a program within the Accreditation period will on graduation be considered to have completed an accredited program.

Reaccreditation for the Master of Business Information Systems has been requested, but the ACS has not yet decided whether to reaccredit.
