The Society of Actuaries recognises The Australian National University as a Center of Actuarial Excellence (CAE). The CAE program allows universities and colleges with outstanding actuarial programs the opportunity to be recognized for that achievement and to compete for grants for education and research.
The ANU is accredited to grant credit for Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams under the University Earned Credit (UEC) program. Please see the SOA website for requirements to become an Associate and Fellow of the SOA.

Standard Required
The standard required in ANU courses for students to be eligible for exam credit under the UEC program is determined by an External Examiner appointed by the SOA, and is based on performance in the final examination of a course only. Students must meet the standard required for all ANU courses equivalent to an SOA exam in order to be eligible for exam credit under the UEC program.
Applying for Exemptions
The ANU provides information to the SOA on students who are eligible for exam exemption under the UEC program. Students need to opt in for ANU to provide this information to the SOA. Further information on the opt in process can be found by contacting Jacie Liu (jia.liu3@anu.edu.au).
Validation by Educational Experience (VEE)
ANU courses may also be used to complete VEE requirements. For further information search for Australian National University in the VEE Directory.
