Biography

Bronwyn Loong is Senior Lecturer of Actuarial Studies and Statistics. Bronwyn conducts research in a variety of statistical areas.  Her research includes exploring how to modify data from confidential sources to protect disclosure risk whilst preserving its analytic validity. Bronwyn is also interested in the use of statistical methods to handle data that is missing detail or incomplete, maximising the utility of the data by minimising the likelihood and potential for loss of data. Bronwyn’s research interests extend to other disciplines including medicine, where she has written about the use of statistics and how they can help solve ‘real world problems’. Bronwyn’s research has been published in prominent academic journals including Statistics in MedicineAnnals of Actuarial Science and Critical Care and Resuscitation.
