CBE Alumni Hall of Fame Awards 2021 – nomination form

The ANU College of Business and Economics (CBE) Alumni Hall of Fame Awards recognise the professional accomplishments of our graduates, and seek to pay tribute, acknowledge and engage with leaders in the fields of business and economics, who have distinguished themselves through service to The Australian National University (ANU), Australian community and around the world.

To be eligible for consideration, the nominee must be a graduate of one of the disciplines offered at CBE, and have demonstrated significant contributions and exemplary leadership.


Nomination submission 

Submit nominations electronically via this form. 

Nominations open – Thursday 22 July 2021, 9am AEST. 
Nominations close – Tuesday 31 August 2021, 11.55pm AEST.

You will receive a confirmation message upon the successful submission of your nomination.

Nomination documentation

Your nomination should include:

  • a completed official nomination form
  • a response to the two supporting statement questions.

Judging criteria

All eligible applications will be assessed on the extent to which they meet the following three criteria:

Impact – evidence and scale of the tangible impact and contribution the nominee has had in their profession, community or field of expertise.

Service – evidence the nominee is committed to bettering the lives of others in their community or society in general through their professional or volunteer efforts.

ANU – the influence of the nominee and examples of how the nominee has stayed involved with the University community.

Award category eligibility

Please check the eligibility criteria for the award category you wish to nominate for before starting the nomination:

Distinguished Alumni award

This award is the most prestigious award offered by the College to a member of the CBE alumni community. Nominees for this category must be recognised as alumni of  CBE  who have completed a postgraduate or undergraduate degree at the University, and demonstrated significant contributions and support to developing the College and its future students.

Young Alumni award

This award is presented to outstanding individuals 35 years of age or younger. Nominees for this category must be recognised as alumni of CBE who have completed a postgraduate or undergraduate degree at the University. They must be actively engaged with CBE and demonstrate continued support to the College and its future students.

Conditions of nomination

Nominations must be received by Tuesday 31 August 2021, 11.55pm AEST. Late nominations will not be accepted.

  • Self-nomination is not allowed.
  • Late nominations will not be accepted.
  • The selection panel reserves the right to reallocate nominations between categories based on the field of nominees.
  • Nomination forms and supporting documentation must be completed in English.
  • Alumni who have been unsuccessful in previous nominations may be re-nominated in the same or other category.
  • The College will contact all nominees with the outcome of the nomination (if aware of their nomination) and nominators.
  • Due to the large volume of quality nominations received, the College will be unable to provide feedback to nominees or nominators.
  • Award recipients and nominees may be acknowledged in media publications and via College communication channels, such as the CBE website and its social media accounts.
