the world in 2006, 2007 & 2008. In 2006, 2007 and 2008 it was the highest ranked ranked Australian university.

of Higher Education rankings by Shanghai Jiao Tong University,
ANU ranked 57th in the world in 2007, 54th in 2006, 56th in 2005 and 53rd in 2004.
- The University's
research record includes four Nobel Prize recipients, the Japan
Prize, four Australia Prizes and the 2000 'Albert Einstein' World
Award of Science.
