The Australian National University is consistently ranked as one of the top universities in the world!

  • In The Times Higher Education Supplement ANU ranked 16th in the world in 2006, 2007 & 2008. In 2006, 2007 and 2008 it was the highest ranked ranked Australian university.
  • In the Institute of Higher Education rankings by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, ANU ranked 57th in the world in 2007, 54th in 2006, 56th in 2005 and 53rd in 2004.
  • The University's research record includes four Nobel Prize recipients, the Japan Prize, four Australia Prizes and the 2000 'Albert Einstein' World Award of Science.
  • The 2009 edition of the Good Universities Guide gives ANU the following ratings:
