College Administrative Processes


Program Advice
Undergraduate students are encouraged to seek advice in relation to their program of study from College Course Advisors. Appointments may be made for one the following sessions scheduled each week:

Tuesday 9.30am - 11.30am 2.30pm - 4.30pm
Wednesday 10am - 12pm 2pm - 4pm
Thursday 10am - 12pm  

Appointments may be made by calling at the College office or phoning 02 6125 3807.

Postgraduate students should seek academic advice from their Program Co-ordinator.


Application to Transfer Programs (ANU Internal Transfers)
To transfer between ANU programs, students are required to complete and submit an Application to Transfer form to the Enrolments Office in the Pauline Griffin Building. Students are advised to check the due dates for submission of forms in the SEAP guide. In addition, students should complete an Application for Status form to have their courses carried across to their new degree program. Application for program transfer

Application for Status


Application to waive a prerequisite
In some circumstances students may apply to have a prerequisite waived. Students must complete an Application to Waive a Prerequisite form and submit it to the relevant authority, stated on the form, for approval before submitting the form to the College Office. You should note that prerequisite waivers are not available for any courses offered by the School of Finance and Applied Statistics (FINM and STAT courses). Prereq Waiver Form


Status (Advanced Standing) applications
To gain status for previous study or summer school courses, students are required to submit an Application for Status form. If the studies were completed outside ANU, an academic transcript relating to the credit being applied for must be attached. The form should be submitted to the College Office. Students will receive notification of the outcome of their application in writing. Status Application Form


Letter Request
Requests for letters from the College providing proof of enrolment or completion of programs must be submitted on a Letter Request form to the College Office. During busy periods letters will take a minimum of four days to complete after submission of request. Letter Request Form


Request for approval to overload course enrolment
Although overloading is discouraged by the College, it is acknowledged that there are circumstances where overloading is unavoidable. Students may seek approval to overload by submitting a Request for Approval to Overload Course Enrolment to the College Office. Students who have achieved less than a 65% average in their previous semester’s enrolment will not be considered. Overload Request Form
